Le Moyne Receives Record Number of Applications for Admission

Following several years of steady growth, a record 8,000-plus applications for first-year enrollment have聽been received by Le Moyne College鈥檚 Office of Admission as it recruits the class of 2029. The previous record was set in 2024, when approximately 7,900 applications were received.
鈥淧assing the 8,000 application mark is a clear indication that interest in attending Le Moyne has never been higher,鈥 said Tim Lee, vice president for enrollment management. 鈥淪tudents and their parents appreciate our strong reputation for academic excellence, the significant investment in our facilities and the success of our students and alumni.鈥
鈥淎s a Jesuit institution, Le Moyne prides itself on聽cura personalis, or care for the whole person, with students receiving individual attention from faculty who are among the best in their discipline,鈥 said Le Moyne President Linda LeMura. 鈥淭he high level of interest this year and over the past several years are evidence that Le Moyne is an institution on the rise.鈥
Among recent developments:
- Stellar performance in rankings announced over the past six months, including the highest-ever ranking by聽U.S. News & World Report and strong showings in both聽Money Magazine聽and the聽Wall Street Journal/College Pulse听谤补苍办颈苍驳蝉.
- In a survey for the class of 2023, 97% reported that they were either employed or in graduate聽school (compared to the national average of 85%.)
- The three-year renovation and refurbishment of Reilly Hall, the College鈥檚 largest academic building, was completed in fall 2024.
- Plans announced in 2024 for more than $50 million in聽new and renovated facilities for the Thomas J. Niland Jr. Athletic Complex, which followed the聽College鈥檚 move to Division I in 2023.
- Strong enrollment for recent first-year classes, including the聽class of 2028 when 640 students were welcomed to the Heights.
